Pure-Spa Cartridge Filter Cleaner is a high-strength cleaning solution designed to remove oils, grease, scale, and debris from spa and pool filtration systems. Regular filter maintenance is essential for optimal water clarity and efficient system performance. This cleaner is suitable for both cartridge filters and sand/glass media filters, helping to restore filtration efficiency and extend the lifespan of filter components.

Why Use a Filter Cleaner?

Over time, spa and pool filters accumulate oils, lotions, and mineral deposits, leading to reduced filtration efficiency and poor water circulation. Using a specialist filter cleaner helps to break down and remove these contaminants, ensuring better water flow, improved sanitiser effectiveness, and a longer-lasting filter system. Regular cleaning also reduces strain on pumps and heating systems, improving overall spa performance.

Usage Instructions:

For Cartridge Filters:

1. Remove the cartridge from the filter unit and flush off any loose debris.
2. Prepare a 5% solution by mixing 500ml of cleaner with 10 litres of water.
3. Soak the cartridge overnight in the solution.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, allow to dry, then gently clean with a soft brush.
5. Reassemble the filter unit and return to service.

For Sand/Glass Media Filters:

1. Backwash the filter, drain and isolate it.
2. Add Filter Cleaner directly into the filter as follows:
   • 18 filter: 250ml
   • 24 filter: 500ml
   • 30 filter: 750ml
   • 36 filter: 1000ml
3. Fill the filter chamber with water and allow to soak overnight.
4. Rinse thoroughly for at least 2 minutes before returning the filter to service.

Always handle chemicals in a well-ventilated area, away from other cleaning products.
